How to Submit Samples

Create Account

If you are new to the Core Facilities, you must set up a PPMS account with a valid charge account before submitting any forms.

Label, Pack & Prep

Correct sample preparation saves processing time. Please follow these rules from our Prep Guide:

🏷️ Labeling
  • Top of Tube: Write Initials + Number (e.g., JD1).
  • Don't Repeat: Start new sets with the next number (e.g., JD11).
  • No Tape: Do not use tape or stickers on tubes.
  • Spreadsheet: Create an Excel sheet matching IDs (JD1) to conditions.
🧪 Tubes & Shipping
  • Tube Type: Use 0.5, 1.5, or 2.0ml Snap Caps (Eppendorf style).
  • Avoid: Screw caps, PCR tubes, or test tubes.
  • Proteins: Ship frozen on dry ice.
  • On Beads: Ship on wet ice (do not freeze).

Submission Form

A submission form is required for each set of samples. Please include a printed copy in your package.

Required Fields: Ensure you specify the Organism, Uniprot ID, Buffer Recipe, and Biohazard Rating.
